Message from Management

For over three decades, Wafacash has continued to play an innovative role in establishing products and services aimed at democratizing financial services and simplifying the relationship between consumers and the management of their money.

Starting with a limited offer focusing on domestic and international money transfers, Wafacash has evolved as the market transformed, expanding into other payment services, banking, and financial services. Its objective throughout the years has been to provide its customers with a value proposition that is adapted, accessible, secure, and served through an extensive network, with quality service and genuine customer care.

In 2009, Wafacash was a pioneer in the banking industry with the launch, in partnership with its group, of the ‘’Hissab Bikhir’’ account aimed at reducing financial exclusion and democratizing "banking." Wafacash was also among the first to support the national strategy for de-cashing and digitization of financial services through the launch of the ‘’JIBI’’ payment account.

In 2014, Wafacash began its international expansion, launching its first subsidiary in Senegal, creating complementarity with the banking subsidiaries of the Group. This aimed at accelerating the development of countries of operation, contributing to the improvement of the banking rate, and integrating different populations into the socio-economic fabric at both the local and regional levels.

The ‘’Wafacash’’ brand successfully expanded to over a dozen countries, adapting to each culture, population, and market. Its strategy is driven by the desire to diversify payment channels and develop a real ‘’one-stop financial shop’’ capable of meeting customer expectations.

In addition to its role as a financial inclusion player, Wafacash has always been driven by social and environmental actions and was among the first to respond to national calls, whether during the Covid-19 crisis, supporting social programs or economic integration, or during the EL HAOUZ earthquake.

Today, Morocco and the African continent, in general, still face a significant potential and challenge in the development of the banking and financial industry. There is still much to be done for institutions like Wafacash, which can make a difference in its markets by turning every interaction with the client into a Unique and Exceptional Experience.
